![]() Catcher Reese McGuire back-picked the young infielder, essentially ending the rally before a painted changeup to Joey Gallo concluded it for good. Lewis then smoked a double into left the next inning, finding himself on third with just one out. Edouard Julien socked the top of the left-field wall with a double he eventually scored on a Carlos Correa dribbler. Justin Turner blasted an inside sinker deep into the night to bring the game back to even.Īnd yet-perhaps sensing the radiant angst emanating from Gray following his previous start-the Twins responded again. Lewis bolted, rounding second with evil intentions as the Red Sox attempted to run down the parked ball he did not stop, blazing past third to score on an odd, invigorating play wholly unique to Minnesota’s distinctive brand of offense. Christian Vázquez’s stinging single tipped off Kiké Hernández’s reaching glove, dribbling lazily into center field. Royce Lewis swapped places with Kepler following a force out and immediately turned in one of the most exciting plays of the year. Byron Buxton catalyzed the action, poking a double off the right-field wall before Max Kepler-in what must be the first time in his career-found a hole through the infield with a chopping single, scoring Buxton to re-knot the game. ![]() Minnesota’s batters were up for the challenge, though, and their attack started in the second inning. Starter Sonny Gray walked Justin Turner on three pitches (with help from a pitch clock violation) before Rafael Devers golfed a breaking ball, banging a double off the center field wall with authority. Nonetheless, the game must be played, so the two teams entered what became a compelling ball game.īut it didn’t start pretty. ![]() Sleep-walking and heavily pulverized over the past week, the Twins crawled into Wednesday’s battle against the Red Sox with the sort of enthusiasm men have when they’re due for a vasectomy. Top 3 WPA: Christian Vázquez (.257), Max Kepler (.195), Kyle Farmer (.150) Gaming efficiency is not a recent advantage with Intel CPUs, they allways had this edge. The gaming use-case efficiency charts do show Intel in a highly positive way, even with CPUs like the 10900k or 11900k. The techtuber meme with posting Cinebench peak wattage in gaming CPU reviews is still funny, but its really just a meme at this point. for PRODUCTION, AMD CPUs are pretty much set for a high efficiency, the problem is that creative workloads, like video editing, did work simply better up to ZEN4 with Intel CPUs, because they utilized the iGPU on top of the CPU+dGPU and there is the elephant in the room with workloads, that simply use the Intel MKL libraries and you cant even use AMD CPUs in the first place.for GAMERS, Intels decision to use a decent factory overclock as STOCK does work pretty well, yes you need a decent cooler, nothing ridiculous, just something you would have used 10 years ago for a gaming system with a mild OC (like a Noctua D14 for Sandy Bridge CPUs).Intel does have a much better idle/gaming efficiency range even with their i9 and i9 KS CPUs with the factory "extreme" overclocking. and have a high optimisation for multi-core and AVX2 workloads. The reality with Intels current "240-300W+ CPU's" is that they beat efficiency champions like the 5600x in gaming wattage and performance/watts in many games.ĪMD CPU's have less silicon for new features like AI accelerators etc. Manufacturer's try to make what their customers want, and what a lot of people are telling them is that they want max performance at any cost. There's also undervolting which has become quite popular in the last couple of years. I mean, mid to high end components exist, and generally offer lots of power efficiency with performance. These manufacturers know there are a lot of people that just want more performance at any cost (or people that just buy the best hardware with little to no understanding), if you want better efficiency then you'd want people to stop buying i9/r9's for just gaming. The issue isn't that new components require more power, the issue is people spending heaps of money for barely more performance. Newer generations are more efficient, meaning they can do more with less power. I'd argue that we should be seeking components that draw less power, rather than pushing more power and necessitating that extra cooling. As I'm writing this, I'm not really sure anymore what the point of my edit was hahaha, I guess it was my way of adding in my thoughts after reading others' comments. But at that point, I think cases and PCs, in general, would have revolutionized into a new standard, new tech that builds upon previous generations etc. But changing the internal configuration, introducing even more independent cooling zones, and component reorganization (which would potentially require industry standard changes to components) are just some of the many changes that would maybe increase cooling. all some of the top airflow contendors, but how else are PC cases functionally being innovated, I feel as if it's already peaked, no?Įdit: after reading many of the comments, I should say that my original question was based on the nature that the innovations retain the somewhat conventional layout currently seen widespread in many modern cases, not to discourage newer ideas as I understand my post was unspecific in terms of this note.
